Get the thumb of the deviation, it's to the right of the artist's comments. A simply copy + paste it into a journal entry.

Eg. :thumb144123857:

The only thing is that it won't work if you use the standard deviant green skin. You have to use a custom skin or it will just come out as :thumb[number]:

Just try adding that to a new journal entry and click 'Preview', should work.
